November Snow In Tahoe

An early season storm rolled through Tahoe yesterday night leaving up to 6 inches of snow close to the sierra crest. Squaw Valley reported 4-6″ at High Camp, and that is consistent with what I saw at Alpine Meadows. With cold temps over the next few days this snow should stick around a while on north facing aspects and should provide a base for when that first big storm that everyone is waiting for rolls through. Be patient, it will be time to bust out the beacons, shovels, probes, and a pair of Megawatts soon enough. The pics below were taken at Alpine Meadows on the morning of Nov 12.
